Magic Knight Rayearth Summary Part II

 

Hikaru and Fuu have other problems besides what happened to Umi as soon as one of Zagato's minions attacks them! They are slammed up against the door to the room by the minion, and the battle seems hopeless. Hikaru lunges at the minion, but her attack with blocked by a swift hit with the monster's shield and she is sent flying to the ground weightlessly. Fuu attacks next, but she is sent flying back as well. Just as they get up, the monster attacks again and send them flying against the wall again, and the knights fall to the ground again. (Mokona cannot help the girls, for it merely a bunny!)

Umi, confused as to what to do, simply stands there staring at the huge dragon. Just then, the door way bursts open! The monster that attacked Hikaru and Fuu was coming for Umi now! She flinched, then just as she was about to run off and fight with the other two, the Machine God demands for her to show proof! He says in a stern voice, that she is strong enough to fight off that monster, and that she is the only one who is needed to save Cephiro, he says finally that she should leave her weak friends. Umi is shocked to hear this. Fuu and Hikaru, try though to fight the monster again, and Umi is heart broken at the thought of leaving her two comrades. She sprints off to join them and stands in front of the two injured girls. Umi then says as she is about to strike, "If I have to leave Hikaru and Fuu to get the Machine God,..then I don't WANT IT!!!"

 

The dragon's eyes them glows blue, and transforms into a even bigger robotic suit, saying in a mechanical voice, that he accepts the claim that Umi is a Magic Knight. The Machine (AKA Machine God) then puts it's fists together and blasts away the monster. The three knight's wounds are then healed and armor evolved when the giant robot transforms into a ball of light this time and hides in Umi's gem in the middle of her armor.

(Just to tell ya something, when this happens in the anime, it seems so forceful! I mean really! It looks like the ball of light hits Umi with like the strength of like a punch man! Scary! *L*)

The first Machine had been recovered after a great battle, now they were off to get the second Machine in the Temple of Wind! This time Fuu is taken under a trance as they near the shrine, and she is transported by tiny wind sprouts to the center of the shrine while the other two have to find their way there. Fuu finds a gigantic Phoenix in front of her, except, this one has four wings, instead of two (AND IT'S GREEEEEEENNNN!!!!!!) Again the Machine demands proof that she is worthy of wearing him.

Meanwhile, Hikaru and Umi are faced with another one of Zagato's minions, this time her name is Caldina! She is a dancer who can put people under her spell simply by the movements of her feet and hands. So, she brainwashes Umi and Hikaru to go attack Fuu in the center of the shrine!

Fuu, who is as well confused as well as to what to do to prove her power stares at the giant bird, named Windam, hoping for some answer to come. By luck a chance to prove her strength does come by. Caldina who had sent the other two to go attack Fuu, appeared just then. Fuu, unknowing of what happened to them, tries to greet them happily, but them is stunned when Umi slices her in the back! Fuu's eyes widen with fear, saying "Umi-san! Why! WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING ME???!!!" No answer came, instead, Hikaru and Umi attacked at the same time and Fuu was forced to draw her sword in defense! She then decided to cast a spell that trapped Hikaru and Umi and stopped them from being able to move freely. Caldina, who is watching from the shadows, smiles and says, " it was foolish of you to draw your sword!"

Then she suddenly takes control of Fuu's body! Saying that if Fuu refused to attack Hikaru and Umi that she would make HER attack them! Fuu, who is unable to control her body anymore, screams when her sword slices Hikaru's and Umi's face! Fuu is petrified as to what to do, but one thing is for sure, and that is that she was no longer happy at all, anger and determination started to build up in Fuu's heart, then just as Caldina announced that she would make her destroy the other two with her magic Fuu's eye's widen. "MIDORINO SHIPPU!" she screams out and sends the spell flying at Caldina instead of the other two! The Machine then accepts Fuu's claim and he too hides in her gem in her armor and their wounds are healed and the armor including their swords are evolved again. Caldina who is faced with Fuu's sword soon after, saying that she has done enough and that she will not attack them any more, claiming that for what she was being paid, this was all she was willing to do!

Hikaru and Umi soon awaken from their trance once the battle is over, and they set off to find the last Machine in the Temple of Fire! It is finally Hikaru's turn to become entranced by the shrine that holds her Machine. She is taken away just as the others are, and Fuu and Umi are left at the door of the shrine. Hikaru, meanwhile, meets her Machine, which resembles something like a a cross between a lion and a wolf with a horn. Rayearth, Hikaru's Machine, like the others before, demands proof of her strength...

Fuu and Umi, who are stuck at the door to the shrine, try to pound on the door, but the heat of the fire inside is immense! Just then, one of Zagato's most powerful minions, Rafalga (AKA Lafarga, depends of the translation) attacks the other two and sends them flying into a mountain with one blast from the shock wave of his sword!

Rayearth then runs out side of the shrine and Hikaru follows it, only to find Umi and Fuu slunk down near the mountain! But before Hikaru can get to Umi and Fuu, Rafalga attacks Hikaru with a shock wave! Hikaru barely dodges the attack, but she is stunned to see that he doesn't use his sword to attack he uses the shock wave of his sword to! After a very hard battle, and many Many MANY wounds, she wins the battle, and the Machine accepts her proof. Their wounds are healed yet again, and then for the last time their armor is upgraded, and they're armor are must more beautiful and look nothing like the first stage armor! They're swords are much Much MUCH larger and more powerful now and Fuu no longer needs to wear her glasses, for their Machine's appear in front of them and they each call out the name of their Machine and they are suddenly inside of the Machine! They were wearing the Machine now, and whatever movement they made, the giant Machine would respond the same way. (this is also why Fuu does not need to wear glasses, it is because the machine allows her to 'see' perfectly.)

Then they were off finally to fight Zagato! Being inside the Machine was a weird experience but they knights had hardly any time to take in the experience, for they had to now attack their enemy Zagato! They finally met up with Zagato and after the hardest battle the girls had fought, they finally won by attacking at the same time!

But unfortunately, Clef, Presea, Caldina, and Rafalga did not tell the Magic Knights, the whole truth about the Legend of the Magic Knights, for the hardest battle still awaited them...One that would call for a miracle for them to 'win'.
